Is there a skill-based Sorcerer?

A bard?

CHA based spellcasting, spontaneous casting. Trades spell power (spells known, spells/day, level at which spells are obtained) for greater SP, larger HD, superior saves, and music.

I'm looking for a base class that casts spells like a Sorcerer but gets more than 2 skills per level. Is there such a thing?
Sounds like a Beguiler (PHB II) to me. They're Enchantment/ Illusion focused, can cast in lght armour, and get 6 + Int skill points per level. Their skill list is approximately identical to a bard's, and they have trapfinding.

If you're looking for something more blastilicious, I haven't an answer for you.

Warlock gets good skillpoints.

Wilder looks more your alley though... Human sorcerer with racial paragon levels would be another good idea.

If nothing else helps, get the Monte Cook sorcerer.

I'm partial to the blue mage myself. Of course, it isn't anywhere near being a core class, but it has sorcerer-style casting and 4 skill points/level.

A human socerer of level 6 with Able Learner, Open Minded (x2) and Jack of All Trades, and 14 Int, will have 55 skill points, able to buy all skills on a 1/1 basis, and able to use all skills untrained - not too shabby...
