I wonder what it adds up to for the Immortals Handbook, by Upper Krust (sp?). Maybe like CR 37, or something?

cheers (a still very shocked),

In v6 of his "Challenging Challenge Ratings" document, I don't know, because he's the only one who has it. But in v5, it's actually higher than CR 50- I believe it works out to 66 but I'd have to check to be certain (that's just off the top of my head). I was, personally, rather shocked- but then again, the beast does have 128 HD and that counts for a lot. I suppose next time I'll just have to give it my favorite template, the Pseudonatural one (ELH version of course), and see what tunes of insane horror my players sing then. :]

I'll just stand by my comment that the Devastation Beetle is CR (whatever) in the same way the Tarrasque is CR 20, and leave it at that. :) Really, the Beetle doesn't even have Fast Healing, whereas the Tarrasque has Regeneration that can't be bypassed. Put them against each other in an arena neither can escape, and the Tarrasque will win every time just based on that fact alone, I think. Natural 20 always hits.

Devastation beetle, Kyuss personal transport when he doesn't feel like walking! ;)

Claudio,

They only wish it was so! :p
So it's actually a potion of illusory mass eagle's splendor, eh?
