Look at all the beautiful bell curves. Looks like the 4e set is slightly younger, by half a generation.

So there is a DND generation gap...

I'm 37. I've never purchased a WOTC product--and come to think of it, I haven't purchased a pen and paper RPG of any kind in the 21st Century. Because perfection in RPG form is already on my bookshelves; for me, new rules don't improve the game.

Started D&D at age 13 in 1980, with Basic/Expert D&D. Quickly moved "up" to AD&D1, and played it for about 15 years. Dabbled in AD&D2 for a year or so. Dropped RPGs for a few years until D&D3 brought me back. I've read some of D&D4, but I don't like what I've seen.

I'm currently 41 years old. My preferred edition is D&D3.

No, but EN World has once more been confirmed as an old people's home for predominantly DMs.
I think that has more to do with the way the internet works in general. When it comes to info, DMs are just needier than players are. (shrug) We need rules, we need NPCs, we need adventures or adventure ideas, we need feedback on this new houserule that could be awesome but might break the game, etc. ENWorld is, hands-down, the best place to find all of this.

Besides...I am only thirty-four. I am a long way from the "old people's home," thank you. ;)
