Is there an official WotC rule covering lining up a ranged attack?

I could be dreaming this, but I thought I remembered a rule that said something similar to: If you spend a round? lining up your attack you get a +<?> on your attack roll.

I'm sorry, I haven't looked through all the WotC books, Core and Splatbook or otherwise. I'm hoping it rings a bell with someone here. Is it just a S&F feat? OotBI ability? Deepwood Sniper ability? I thought there was a core rule that covered this but I can't remember where I saw it and honestly am not sure I'm not just making it up

Are you talking about lining up an attack on an immobile object? If so, the rule is on p 135 of the PH, under Object Armor Classes and Bonuses to Attack.

"If you take a full-round action to line up a shot, you get… a +5 attack bonus with a ranged weapon."
