Is there an official WotC rule covering lining up a ranged attack?

I could be dreaming this, but I thought I remembered a rule that said something similar to: If you spend a round? lining up your attack you get a +<?> on your attack roll.

I'm sorry, I haven't looked through all the WotC books, Core and Splatbook or otherwise. I'm hoping it rings a bell with someone here. Is it just a S&F feat? OotBI ability? Deepwood Sniper ability? I thought there was a core rule that covered this but I can't remember where I saw it and honestly am not sure I'm not just making it up :D

Can anyone help?

Thanks.

DrSpunj,
Are you talking about lining up an attack on an immobile object? If so, the rule is on p 135 of the PH, under Object Armor Classes and Bonuses to Attack.

"If you take a full-round action to line up a shot, you get… a +5 attack bonus with a ranged weapon."

Hope that helps,
Steve

Ah!

I believe that was exactly what I was thinking of now that you mention it. I'll take a closer look at that section. Thanks for the book & page reference!
