If they ever have plans to release it in the future i think it would make more sense as a Maneuver. Tome of Battle would really have been the ideal place to put it.

Oh I think we should. Square only exists today because their final fantasy game saved them from going bankrupt. Fun game with sahaugin, Otyugh and neo otyugh under the pseudonym of Ocho, a maralith boss in the fire dungeon, clay golems that haste themselves, mind flayers chilling in the ice cave with a beholder, Tiamat herself in the air dungeon and before you beat the game, you’ll run across an undead beholder.

Nope, nothing borrowed from D&D there.
