Is there no new utility software being developed for D&D?

I may be out of the loop, but I haven't noticed any new software being developed for pen and paper D&D. I'm talking about character generators, dm utilities, etc.

In terms of character generators, they have been unsatisfactory in my opinion. eTools was a joke. I don't personally care for pcGen.

The best potential I have see so far was RedBlade's character generator. If only he had kept develping it.

Anyway, is there any new software out there being develped?

None that I currently know of. Wait until revised 3rd edition has been released; I'm sure we will see some modifications to existing ones and maybe some new ones too.

I am in development of a character generator.

Codemonkey is making a patch for etools and Davin just released a new version of Etools helper.

Also, Luke just released a new version of RPM. I haven't had a chance to look at it.

TwinRose is still around.

So, yes people are still developing D&D software.

New Stuff?

DM's Familiar just went through a major upgrade.

For Character Genreators there is Campaign Suite from TwinRose, PCGen, E:Tools, RPM, DM Genie (I think). I think RedBlade ran afould of licensing problems if I remeber correctly.

Bruce Gelke's excellent Tablesmith continues to add new features.

The software category over at RPGNow continues to get more and more crowded. Seems to be plenty of stuff going on to me.
