No, that doesn't work. You can't crush yourself by growth, nor can you injure anything else by growth.

You would fail to change your shape until you got out of the dragon's ear.

Yes, but there's no garantee that he won't spear you with a claw or smack you with his tail a few times before he swollows. This way helps with that.

This is predicated on the presumption that Dragons stomach's work like other real-world stomachs - ie basically are filled with HCL to digest food. You may rule that, for example, a red dragon's stomach is basically a blast furnace
