This is the most profound statement on this thread. You see...Your alignment should NOT NOT NOT NEVER EVER EVER define your actions, your thoughts, your deeds, your words, etc...your actions, thoughts, deeds and words define your alignment.
Unless youre a Paladin. But in all honesty I completely agree. Would your character use poison? If so go for it, if not don't.
Its probably not a Lawful Good way of doing things, so maybe the Paladin shouldn't, but I don't see it as being big enough to cause an alignment shift\(unless you make a habit out of it), so its pretty much ok for anyone else (barring, maybe, some clerics for the same reason as Paladins).
