is White Wolf's hype machine broken?

Clue me in. What are the "Inconnu" and/or the "Unbidden" and which White Wolf books are they in?
Inconnu were a group of secretive vampires in Vampire: The Masquerade.
Iconnu, also sometimes Unbidden, are extraplanar monsters that invaded Monte Cook's WoD.

Also, Inconnu is a real word (even if it is French) - Iconnu is making changes for the sake of changes.

I was kind do of looking forward to this, now I think that I will give it a pass. Oh well, now I know why they were releasing so little information....

I think it's just a typo. It is WWGS, after all.
If so then it is one that they repeated several times on the same page. An amazingly consistent typo. Remember, they changed the spelling of Brujah too, when they came out with their new World of Darkness. Unlike some people, I like the changes to the nWOD setting - it is the rules that I loathe. This time it may be the other way 'round.

Well, it's spelled "Inconnu" again in the latest teaser, so either it was a typo or they just haven't made up their mind about it...

(Also, it's worth noting that the consensual reality of old Mage seems to be making a bit of a comeback with these Awakened fellows.)

I LOVED that aspect of oMage, even if it sometimes made for mind-bending out of game debates in lieu of actual play.

I like that bit. And it's a neat twist on the typical "eldritch horrors from beyond". Usually, these Cthulhu-esque beings are beyond our idea of reality, shattering our sanity with the "full reality, we cannot gasp" - this time, humans enforce their reality and overrule the "elder beings'" idea of reality.

That news alone just bumped it from, 'prolly gonna get, 'cause it's Monte' to, 'it MUST be mine!'
