Isle of the... Ahem... Lost

Hello all, longtime lurker, rare poster in need of some inspiration. I am working on a fantasy 'Lost' inspired island campaign. This will be played in SWADE because I want it to be pulpy and easy to run, but looking for ideas from any RPG that could lend a Lost (or From)-Like feel. I plan on this being a sort of hex crawl with plot point locations that will promote the main narrative.

The PCs will follow the trail of a McGuffin (The Crimson Eye, a Ruby of Great value) and end washed up on the isle. Typical, I know, but I want to get to the isle asap. I have been scouring BX/BECMI/OSR modules for some locations/encounters/plot points but wanting something different and weirder TBH.

I intend to have some temples to elder gods, dungeons that once held ancient evils, kults of inhuman beings, no real civilization on the isle but perhaps a small village of the Damned kinda thing... maybe.

So... any ideas out there? This will be a campaign to last a tier or two in SWADE so it will be multiple sessions. I am looking for weird but things that can be tied together... in Lost fashion. Thanks in advance!

Something to lure them to go somewhere. A glint of mirror from a crashed plane or a flapping sail on a beached ship. This brings the PCs to the dungeon in hopes of finding equipment they can use.

Someone who had been on the island a long time, ala Tom Gunn from Treasure Island. He can be a bit crazy from being alone, but knows a few pieces of information to give the PCs such as where to go to find food and water, but do not ever go to the hill that looks like a skull.

Some sort of pirates that come and go hiding treasure on the island. They can have supplies that the PCs need.

I would take a look at Deathmatch Island, which is a mash-up of Squid Game, Severence and Lost.
I did see that when I came up with the idea, but not sure if Its worth the $ for something I would take a few concepts from but not use the crunch since I'm using Savage Worlds.

Someone who had been on the island a long time, ala Tom Gunn from Treasure Island.

There will be this kinda dude for sure, but I want the why to be intrinsically tied to the weirdness of the isle and I'm still working on what that is.

Reverse it. They have the Golden Backscratcher of Endless Potential, and are fleeing the Red Death Wallaby cultists who wish to take it by force. they wreck on the island, and must dodge zombies and Red Death hunting parties while desperately gathering the means to survive and escape.

Remnants of former groups who have been stranded on the island. It could be just their remains and detritus (including, perhaps, useful information in journals), or there might be one or more survivors (sane or not). There could even be a rival group that knows a bit more about the island and competes with the PCs for resources.
