It has just occurred to me

WotC's bitch
That Eberron would be a GREAT world to play all of Hayao Miyazaki's films in.

Well, except maybe for Grave of the Fireflies.

A gian intelligent sentient green slime goes out of control and eats Sharn a la "The Blob". Makes for a nice epic adventure. Minus the bad acting of course. But with Steve McQueen!

I always used Mononoke Hime as an example of how you could run a D&D game in an asian setting without Oriental Adventures and just the Core Rules, examples of Rangers in an asian setting, and a good example of Taint (outside of L5R).

Or as I'd see the cast of Mononoke as in D&D terms:
San: TN Ranger 5
Ashitaka: NG Fighter 4
Lady Eboshi: LN Aristocrat 2/Fighter 4 (with Leadership)
Jigo: LE Monk 1/Rogue 3
Gonza: LN Fighter 4 (Eboshi's Cohort)

I don't know about Eberron per se, but some of his movies would make excellent gaming fodder.

Which doesn't matter, since Miyazaki didn't make Grave of the Fireflies.

Eberron's a great world for that as well, though. (Just set it during the last days of the Last War...)

Cheers!
