Most items ive encountered that have spells associated with them seem to require use by a spell caster. Within my own world ive been looking into the possiblity of creating items that have spell-like abilities so that non-spell castign classes can use them.
I looking for possible repercussions of introducing items that cerate spell-like effects that anyone can use. For the most part spell liek abilities one gets are a result of class or sometimes race. i dotn really want my fighter weilding powerful magic since, its really not his place. I do however find it resonable for monks who have spell-like abilities already to gain some from items.
I cant use caster level requirements for these tiems if i want non spell casters to use them. Im considering level requirements and possibly class restrictions. And although i dont want to i may have to just rule specifically for each charatcer whether or not they can use it.
