Indeed it is.

As much as I disliked 2nd edition, I find I like that logo the best.

That's my favorite logo as well, and I love the dragon ampersand.

Sword and Sorcery's Advanced Player's Guide incorporated the same basic look into its logo. Not a bad book, either.

AD&D 2.5e was never an actually official used name. it was still called 2nd edition, just with the "Players Option" tag added on it. it may not have seemed like all that big of a deal at the time, but in large part it was a stepping stone between 2E and 3E...
