Its April 1st so this is my official thank you to Dragon Magazine

Thanks Dragon.

Since I have a subscription to Dragon I obviously pay for it every month. It was nice that this April issue was not that waste of paper that past April Fools issues have been.

Thanks again.

Hadn't thought of that, either.

This is the first April Dragon I think I've ever bought. I second the sentiment. Thanks, Paizo, for not wasting 100 pages of magazine.

Although the inclusion of extra comics now makes sense.

I go the other way myself on this issue. I miss some of the greatest joke articles of the past - the Hopeless Character class, the "Nogard" adventure, Roger Moore's "I quit" article in reverse-print, and one of my favorites being the joke magic items, such as the staff of strike-ing, and the onyv crystal ball, with clairaudience but not vision. :)

I'm with Henry. I really loved the old "Bard on the Run" song parodies.

Although I still wouldn't want to see anything from this April's DRAGON taken out ;)

I second Henry's nomination, I've always enjoyed the humor issue. It works as a nice counter to the all-horror and undead issues. Our regular campaign incorporated a Pooka into it, which was first presented in an April issue. The Pooka makes a great plot device to explain why the character of a player who can only make it to about half the games keeps popping in and out.

I still use the Wandering Damage Table from time to time...

But come on now, folks. Grab the reins. Humor has really gotten out of control in this society, and it needs to be stopped. The AMA's spurious claim that "Laughter is the best medicine (sic)" has arguably caused more woe than weal. There is an entire television network devoted to comedy! When did that happen?!? I don't know when we turned into a Nation of Comics, but I'm glad Paizo Publishing has the cojones to grab hold of the rudder and steer us into the sober, thoughtful, humorless future we all desire.

I never particularly disliked the April issue but I do prefer to get a "real" issue instead. I think that Paizo made the right choice on this one.

My personal fave was the spell scroll article where all the spells were mixed up - Drawmij's Instant Death: Wherever he is, whoever he is, Drawmij dies, instantly, with no saving throw. I love it.
