I have Columbus Day off on Monday and Tuesday, and I had Friday off and will have next Wednesday. So I am in the midst of a six-day weekendjaerdaph said:

Ah, the weekend. I wish Red Dwarf was still on KAET on Saturday Nights. At least I have a new season of Charmed to look forward to. Starting to feel a little board around the house, even though I've gotten out and about three times in the last seven days.

Just realized DnD 2 is on SciFi tonight! I'm feeling better now, can't wait for it to start!!!

I still can't decide if I want to watch that. I still get the shakes and want to curl into a ball whenever I think of the first one. I've had migraines that were better than that one.

Well, Friday after work I went over to the home of two members of my gaming group. Played a game of canasta with the guy, before he went to his dad's to finish cutting meat from the deer he got the other day (archery season already). Played two games of canasta with his wife, and helped her finish off half a pan of krispie treats. Then played another game with him after he got home. A great night of conversation in which neither the TV nor the computer was turned on. Maybe our ancestors were onto something after all...
Today I slept in, making up for not being able to fall asleep. I'm currently surfing message boards and will head in to work around three this afternoon for about four hours or so (I'm salaried, so all I'll get out of this is a feeling of making a little progress on a couple of projects). The one friend just IMed me and asked me if I'd be interested in coming over again tonight, which sounds like fun.
Tomorrow I'll be doing the sleeping in thing again. Then I'll be helping another friend and member of my gaming group move a large dining room set from her grandmohter's house to her home about a half hour away. Then she and her husband (another member of the group) will be having a cookout for those of us helping. Not sure when I'll get home after that, so that's about all of my plans for the weekend.
Oh, and I found out that I'm substitute-DMing for my group on the 22nd, so I'll also be working up a one-shot one-night adventure. Given the timing, it'll probably have some Halloween-themed encounters...

Friday I...laid around in bed because I was sick as all heck. Blah...the week before I was trying to remember what it was like to be so sick you couldn't get out of bed, and oh joy oh bliss I've found out again. I'm still illin' but getting better. Missed a day each of school and work, though. That's bad.
