I didnt read all 4 pages of this thread, so this may have been said already. I Still post there, though not as much as I used to. When I was originally posting, I started on their old boards (that will soon be the old old boards

). There are som good guys there & some others that have left, giving up D&D altogether rather than just WotC boards.
They locked the katana subject because EVERY thread started turned into a flame war. The Wiz_Os just got tired of shutting them down individually, so banned the subject. The sad thing was they all said the same things, whether or not they started on the subject that ended up being discussed. I actually had a little bit to do with that as I "helped" turn the last such thread into a discussion on the merits of bacon, lol.
The sad thing is that early in my posting career, I liked the Wotc Boards better than here. I was getting more feedback on the things I posted there. I have only recently come back to these boards by replying to the Polls. Frankly, & no offense, I dont see the "more mature" additude that some posters here claim. Not flaming anybody, just stating my perceptions as I have seen them. I have seen a different feel for the game here. If I post a PrC on both boards, it can be hailed as a well balanced effort on one, then derided as hoplessly over/under powered on the other. And there was NEVER a consistent chain on either. One time it would be good here, the next time good there.
You get right down to it, you will always hang out where you are getting feedback. I dont care if it is always negative at first. Hey, I want the stuff evaluated till I get a playable something. I dont want to be flamed for what I am attempting, and you have those poster EVERYWHERE.
I may start to hang out here more often now, but I really dont like the organization of these boards. More subjects get lumped together than at the WotC boards.
BTW, if you want to keep up with a particular thread, here or WotC, all you have to do is subscribe to it & you will get the updates on your User Control Panel.
A brief edit: I was reminded of another flaw I repeatedly saw on these boards as I explored the links to classes & races. Too mny times a poster puts a class or race or idea on these boards, he gets NO answer at all. No critcism, flaming, nada, zip, zilch.....That can be annoying. One doesnt expect all feedback to be good. Just that a poster that works on their idea would appreciate something, good or bad. That lack of input is what had me staying with the WotC boards for so long.
