By some bizarre twist of distribution, Australia seems to have recieved the Fiend Folio before the states. Whoops.

Okiday - How about the Blood Hawk? Is it an animal or a magical beast? (beasts have been removed for 3.5, yes?) Does it have a blood drain attack or something similar, or is it just a nasty eagle?

I'll corss post this in the answers thread (actually the contents thread that I hijacked...) but here you go:

magical beast with wounding (the ability that causes 1 hp damage every round after the initial attack). Straight beasts are gone i believe, but the book doesn't actually say that. it says refer to the MM for types other than those that are changed in the book. There are no new beasts in the book tho.

lowest, weekest slaad, CR 6 - disease, fast healing, cringe (will save to hit the thing), sonics, feign death, minor elemental res.

Hehe... I have just moved back to Oz after living in North Korea with Prosperity (ie, Singapore) and it's amazing how often I hear that remark... albeit they're not talking about early access to the occasional D&D product....
