James Horner passed

Wrath of Khan is one of my favourite movie soundtracks of all time. The movie was the best Trek film, and the soundtrack was definitely part of that. I know he did Avatar, and a bunch of other stuff, but to me, James Horner is Wrath of Khan. His death is a loss to the movie industry, but also a loss to Star Trek.

This and Aliens are iconic to me and helped foster my love of movie soundtracks (the other primary influence being John Williams).

John Williams is the 800# gorilla of soundracks, but Horner definitely ranked WAY up there in my book. Aliens probably the score of his I like most, but SO many others - 48 Hours, Deep Impact, Rocketeer, Titanic, Brainstorm... even Commando!
