The next DDI update is on Jan 18th, and here is what it will involve:

First off, hopefully everybody had a great holiday! I’m finally back in and settled and I wanted to give you a quick look at what’s in the near future. The DDI update this month is planned to go out on the 18th this month. I don’t have all the details yet, but here are the basics:

Character Builder

* Dragon 393 content
* Dungeon 184 content
* Several bug fixes


Compendium

* Dragon 393 content
* Dungeon 184 content


More Info Next Week

So there are the bare bones of what we’re planning to deliver on the 18th. Along with the Dungeon and Dragon content, we’ve squashed a lot of bugs in the past few weeks - I hope to have more details on those fixes, and possibly some feature info for you some time next week. I’m also really close to having a basic road map for the next few months, so we can all have a better idea of what to expect a bit further out. As always, the information here or in the next update post may change, and if it does, I’ll let you know.

Not much new content, that leaves them more time for the bug (and feature) fixes .. hopefully there will be plenty of that

What disturbs me is that the first Tuesday-Update seem to be gone (the last updates were also in the middle of the month) and the Content-Update is now a whole month behind the books and 1 - 1/2 Months for the Magazine, which is way to much.

To be fair, the first Tuesday this month was the first day back to work after the holidays, so I'm inclined to see what Trevor says going forward to see if they get it back on track. I agree that 2nd last week of the month is a bit long for me.

Well, that all is good as far as it goes, but the real question is "What bugs are being fixed?"

I eagerly await the answer next week...

I thought the whole point of the online CB was that there wouldn't be monthly scheduled updates. How is this setup any different from before?

The monthly updates will continue to be scheduled. However, what they are able to do more often now without schedule is changes to the back-end and other stuff. Rules interactions, etc.

Wasnt the original update day the 3rd Tuesday of the month? And then they changed it to the 1st Tuesday of the month?

It almost seems like they may be moving back to the 3rd Tuesday of the month again.......perhaps

It was always the first tuesday of the month. They went to the 3rd tuesday during the holidays last year, and I suspect they're doing the same thing this year. The only difference is that last year they told us about it. They don't communicate much anymore.

So why don't they? Still no inherent bonuses, can't get off-hand weapon damage right, items are still not included (from AUGUST), etc...

Actually I just went back and looked it originally was updated along with the Compendium on the 4th Tuesday of the month.
