I think that I'd like to play someone who is sneaky.

I really have no idea what I want to play. I've done the charismatic thief bit for a long while now with Yuri. So I will probably want to do something different. Maybe someone noble and altruistic. ooh. And charismatic. A paladin!

naaaawwwww

Well, since this is a classless system, I am all for starting my guy without any tags like "thief" or "paladin"! I wonder how long we will be able to hold out before we start calling each other by these names though!

I doubt that even in a classless system that we will ever get away from some of these descriptors. Because, well a thief, a warrior and a priest are basically job descriptions, as well as class descriptions. I mean, I'm an "editor" and Dave is a "librarian" and Vince is a "teacher." And life doesn't have a class-level system.

Agreed though that a "paladin" would be particular to D&D I think, so a "holy knight" or a "knight templar" would probably be a better description.

Runequest Information

OK guys, here's the uber info post of the thread. I just went looking to see how much Runequest is gonna set me back and the answer is some paper and toner. :) If anyone needs copies of this stuff, lemme know and I'll haul my printer into where my computer is currently residing. Or, maybe Thormagni can hook us all up with copies. :)

As for gaming nitpicks, I would much rather play at a table. Or I could just bring a chair and a table for myself. ;) I can bring my card table and add to Vince's table and Thormagni and I have enough chairs between us for everyone. =)

Vince, do we have to be human and if we can be something else, what options are available? I'm nosing through the monster SRD right now. =)

Actually, if I have to play with my kids around, I would prefer we played at my house. They would be a lot more comfortable and if they got into stuff at least it would be mine and not Vince's. But, I am not sure if I will have to bring them or not.
