Dungeons & Dragons 3rd.ed. Japansese Ver. is now avairable!!

Thanks for the 'heads up'. Do you know when the splatbooks, such as Sword & Fist, will be out? What about the DM's screen? I'd like to get some 3E stuff in Japanese that's less expensive than the core books (the PHB is Y5800 = about UK £31).

I might be back in Tokyo in a few months. I really enjoyed my last trip there and I'm looking forward to going back.

Are you trying to get your wife into gaming? If so, you should ask if she likes anime, manga or reading fantasy novels (in Japanese of course). If so then she would probably be interested in gaming also.

i've been married for a long time! it's a lost battle, trying to get my wife into RPG's. i'm lucky to be able to drag her to the LotR movies!

but, on the plus side, i have a son who's 12 yrs old, and ripe for all that RPG goodness! i've already started him on a D&D campaign! (and we're going to the Legions M:tG prerelease tourney as well... ahem).

I often went to the Yellow Submarine store in Shinjuku. They had a good selection of 3rd Edition stuff.

If they have Japanese editions of the rulebooks that would be awesome! My wife likes anime and manga and she has been curious about my gaming, although she still refers to it as "Otaku stuff"

Anyway, I would love to buy her the Japanese editions. She has read Harry Potter in Japanese and has read the Wheel of Time in Japanese. She really likes Wheel of Time, even more than Harry Potter.

i'm going to have to take syunsuke's word [and not check the links] that japanese versions of D&D books are becoming available but i will add this: if you're ordering over the 'net through amazon.co.jp, they currently sell english versions only. which is fine by me as my japanese is "ma ma" but not so great for japanese gamers.

Kind of sad they are just coming out now when they are about to be superceded in a couple of months.
