The Ten-Minute Background Step 1: Write 5 background and concept elements that you feel are important to your image of the character. These can be a concept overview, a list of important life events, a physical description, a personality profile...whatever you need to get an image in your mind. 5 is just a minimum...more elements are encouraged! 1) He is very much an artist. He sees art as the transformation of something of little value into something more. This value may be situational. He loves changing things, either physically or visually, to suit the current needs. This is what gravitates him to the schools of Transmutation and Illusion. 2) His family is comprised mostly of craftsmen. Carpenters, stonemasons, metalworkers, and a few artists. They have quite a few master craftsmen who are highly sought after for their skills and have contracts with the royal family for a number of projects varying in type and scope.
