We did find out yesterday if it is in your inventory, it counts as weight.</p><p></p><p>I had an average group of four. Mauakai Cleric 3 Aarakocra. Eaden Rogue 3 human. Styx 4 Changeling. Mark 1 Fighter Wood Elf.</p><p></p><p>Eaden is just about to open the door when it buzzes.</p><p></p><p>Carlton the Doorman, “Hello. Blue Team Six.” It buzzes again. “Hello Styx and the Smurfettes? Nafas Blue Jen of the INFINITE STAIRCASE has send back up.”</p><p></p><p>Mauakai, “Where did Kaelus and Ardor go? We do have Mark the fighter.” Buzzer again.</p><p></p><p>Carlton the Doorman, “This is Carlton the Doorman we appear to be having technical difficulties.”</p><p></p><p>After a brief introduction the group moves into the room of Ceremonial Chamber of Madarua. The altar is clean with a bronze (Grrrr. Sorry about the color confusion. The mask picture does not look bronze.) The fresh incense throws them but a slight flutter of a hidden door catches their attention.</p><p></p><p>Advanced D&D Spirit, “WANDERING MONSTER CHECK!”</p><p></p><p>Mark, “One on a d6. Two on the d12!” Two centipedes attack distracting the party. A round and a half later, two peep holes in the south wall are discovered. They are shut on the opposite side and the thief accidently locks down the secret door.</p><p></p><p>Mark, “Charge!” The door flies open and the fighter leaves skid marks as he grinds to a halt. The rogue moves forward. He chalks out the danger zone and is trying to figure out how to get to the treasure vault when a hand falls on his shoulder.</p><p></p><p>Pandora, “Follower of Gorm, are these your recruits?”</p><p></p><p>Styx, “The human is but the others are not!”</p><p></p><p>Pandora, “You two prove your worth. You must wrestle one of my cultists. One.”</p><p></p><p>Spirit of 5.5E, “Make it a skill challenge.”</p><p></p><p>Pandora, “Two falls out of three. Mauakai you are not worthy. Mark you.”</p><p></p><p>Advanced D&D Spirit, “Hm. Any. Many. Mighty. Moe!” Chaos Laughter.</p><p></p><p>Eaden, “I try to steal the key off the boss lady!”</p><p></p><p>DM and group, “What? What!”</p><p></p><p>Pandora shoves her sword into the thief. He runs away out the fighting pit followed by two minions. Who somehow lose him in a semi dark room. Styx goes down. Mark grazes his minion a lot. One minion is crushed under the trap. The second minion is killed by Eaden. Pandora turns to the rogue.</p><p></p><p>Spirit of 5.5E, “Hey read the freaking stat block. It says three attacks.” Pandora stabs the rogue six times turns and walks into a spiritual hammer to the face. Charging the cleric, she falls to the scorching ray attacks. Healing word is tossed to save the spell caster.</p><p></p><p>Baldur’s Gate, “You know you can toss healing potions on the dying.”</p><p></p><p>Group, “YES!”</p><p></p><p>DM, “NO.” Mauakai tosses a healing potion to Mark who fumbles it. Mark tries to do a medicine check. FAILURE.</p><p></p><p>Death on a Skateboard, “Well now. Looks like one plus and two minuses. Roll that beautiful death save.”</p><p></p><p>Eaden, “Nat 20!” And the table goes wild. Pandora ghost rises. Beware the cult of Zargon which are trying to destroy the Cynidicea gods. Beware the traps on the next level. After some looting and a long rest, they move on to top of the map. The cult of Zargon has looted one room and the west rooms on this part only has some pit vipers and loot. The group moves on to the five o’clock corridor.</p><p></p><p>Advanced D&D Spirit pulls out a switchblade, “Not a word Spirit of 5.5E!”</p><p></p><p>The door zaps Eaden for thunder damage. Eaden, “But I didn’t see any traps. I rolled over 20!”</p><p></p><p>Cleaning her nails with the switchblade, Advanced D&D Spirit, “Perhaps a detect magic spell cast on the doors, corridors, ceilings, floors, and other stuff? Next time.” The door opens.</p><p></p><p>Guardian of Gorm, “Welcome Gorm cultists. Have you brought us more cultist? Good. Mark and Mauakai step forward and recite the words.” As the new recruits say the words, they spy a secret strong box in the table, and an attic ladder. They take their masks and move deeper into the dungeon.</p><p></p><p>Entering the nine o’clock corridor, it has been painted black with stars. As the thief is trying to pick the lock, the door opens. Auriga, “Follow of Gorm, why don’t you knock?”</p><p></p><p>Styx, “I have two people who want to join your silly cult!”</p><p></p><p>Auriga, “You two. Tell us a secret. Hmm. Very well. Those are good secrets. Take these upgrades with you.” Eaden and Mauakai are inducted into the cult of Usamigaras. Their right hands are tattooed with a silver five pointed star. They were given some silver robes, silver dagger, a silver mask, a wand of secrets, and the operating instructions for the shifting hallway.</p><p></p><p>Carlton the Doorman, “This is Carlton the Doorman. Just wanted you to know you have leveled up.”</p><p></p><p>Spirit of 5.5E, “And the DM forgot to tell you about the ramp in B14. And a secret strongbox in B18.” He eyes Advanced D&D Spirit.</p><p></p><p>DM Note. We are using the 2024 rules for classes, spells, and anything which has been changed. But good faith effort applies. If you notice any changes in your PC sheet on Beyond; I changed it to get more in line with the new rules.</p><p></p><p>I am tracking Ammo, Rations, and Waterskins. You use 1 ration and waterskin per day.1E inventory RULES! Sea watt eye did there.</p><p></p><p>We will pick up in room B18 next week.</p><p></p><p>End of Session 538.</p></blockquote><p></p>
