Nick Warrior of Mercy 5 Harengon.Sunrise falls on the lair and the group moves out after a lengthy discussion to Therno Lake. The Rogue only scouts a head a few hundred feet while top cover is provided by Malakai. A shadow falls on him and a kitten attacks his left ankle. He looks at his foot and discovers a Griffon chick plucking a feather off his ankle.In a cute sweet kid voice, “Hello prey. I am going to eat you up. For BREAKFAST.” Malakai reaches to knock the chick off when he checks out the big shadow.Mommy Griffon, “You be not hurting my little chick prey. You be flying straight.” With his psychotic connection with Ardor and Eaden he passes on the information. After few more ankle feathers are pulled, the griffons fly off with the warning of look out for bug bears.Arriving near the Therno Lake, they see it has been created by a huge third of mile beaver dam. A hunter stops Ardor, Nick, and Kaelus. Aspen has never seen a huge six foot talking rabbit but once they adventurers mention they took out the Derro lair; they get invited to dinner. (DM Note the map of area sucks and the scale is all over the place. I don’t have the original copy to compare too.)Elm who is Aspen’s wife gives the left over veggie lasagna to the rabbit.DM Note. Okay that was a lot of great role playing and conversation and I will not be able to type it up. But here are two myths the group created.Elm will tell of the Fey Fell Sinister Rabbit which visits before the harvest. He blows on a cats tail to make it do unholy screams of what the rabbit called music. The rabbit could be gifted with veggies and furs from predators.Barry Bugbear will tell of a failed assault on a boat where all the humans and other unholy evil creatures mooned the tribe and farted such foul air half the tribe passed out for three days.Wisteria the hunter takes the catamaran and transports the fey rabbit and his companions to the tower of Heaven. The tower of Heaven is two towers on two small islands. Due to how fast the river flows, it is only accessed by rope ferry owned by Hedley.Hedley, “Good day. Fair is the day. And I have never seen a huge rabbit.” (DM Note highlight the freaking reply in the book on page 61)Nick, “But fairer the jewels of evening. Your skin is so soft and you only have hair on your top side. How do you keep warm at night?” He softly pads the NPC.Hedley pulls out a pack of Malboro and lights up, “You been expected. But I wasn’t thinking a Harvey was real. My friend Jimmy S mention them.” He does mention Shalfey died seven nights ago. The sages did not do a raft ceremony of floating the body down the river but Picard.Piyarz, “that is Piyarz. My name is Piyarz!”Group, “The villain name is now Picard!”He mentions Berta will put them up in the hostel for the night. Picard declared Shalfey dead. Some of sages left the day before he died on a special mission to the druid. He rows them across the river.Berta hints she is an ally of Shalfey but will speak to Eaden later during the night.Malakai, “And what is your story you big hunk of elf muscle?”Adavalis, “Um. Wizard lab experiment? I never heard of a six foot talking bird man.” He switches to elf and talks to Ardor, “Who is this? And how did come to me.” While Adavalis talks about his parents having sorcerer power but he does not have them. He is hoping his question will be answer how to get powers. Nick does rabbit shenanigans and picks the elf’s pocket.Meanwhile Eaden talks to the farmer woman and her kids, her harvest failed. Bugbears burned down her outhouse and roasted her husband over it. She does have the 100 GP to get her question answered but hoping the sages will grant an exception. Eaden donates 90 GP to her on her feet.(DM NOTE The question threw me on what she need to plan three acres and get a draft horse. I called a break and came back to all my players on their phones doing research on medieval farming and yields.)Kaelus chats up Namaia, the human mayor, and finds out she is up for reelection for her office but is facing a stiff battle for a young 35-year-old. And she then dismisses him.In the evening Berta, talks to the group. She confirms she has not seen the body but Picard show up two days ago to go over the accounts. She has arranged for the group to get in the Questioner Hall tomorrow at noon. But they need to have a 100 GP for the fee.The group spends a half hour (Okay it was fifteen real minutes) deciding on what would be the question and how they can get further into the sage tower and find the second set of books of Prophecy.Note.
