Disclaimer: I apologize if this has already been answered a billion times. I browsed through the Meta threads and didn't see it.
I'm adding the news block (Article Syndication Page) to a site I'm making. The outage made me realize that the page hangs if the server's not accessible while it waits patiently for EN World to respond. Does anybody have a convenient JavaScript for putting in like a 30 second timeout so if the response from the EN World servers doesn't come back, it'll build the rest of the page?
