D&D 5E "Jedi" type spells

The "Jedi" part of the Warlock is using the blade pact stuff for light sabers - conjuring a mysterious weapon out of thin air and wearing light armor or robes. And then the spells can be used primarily for telepathy/mind powers. Detect thoughts, clairvoyance, telekinesis, etc aren't inherently "dark" powers. Create Thrall, maybe, but even Obi Wan used mind tricks all the time.

The best option I saw in this thread for a pure Jedi flavor is a Monk, choosing the Way of the Four Elements (but replace the actual powers with appropriate spells, as mentioned in the OP), and with a Sun Blade (which counts as a shortsword, so it can be used as a monk weapon).

Could also do a Valor bard, FWIW.

Woah - At first I misread that as "Vader bard" and screamed "Nooooooooooo!" Now I have an image of Vader dancing around signing "+2 for Bard Song, +2 for Bard Song" (from my 3.x days).

Thanks for ruining Star Wars worse then Lucas for me...
:)

I'd love to see a full-scale 5E Star Wars conversion. It would have to be fan-made, obviously.

Yeah, I have been tinkering with converting SWSE to 5th Ed, quite easy and instinctual, actually, 5th Ed is very conversion-friendly.

Lightsaber, 2d8 radiant, Finesse, light, versatile (2d10).

I find your lack of bass disturbing.

I recently created a Jedi themed character from the Favored Soul Sorcerer, multiclassed for 2 levels of paladin (for those divine smites)

He can wear robes, gets an extra attack, and there are TONS of spells that fit the theme. Because of sorcery points you can Quicken a telekinesis or hold person and wade in for your two attacks, you have tons of spell slots for divine smites, and with Sorcery points you can just keep pumping out more. Its really insanely potent. Take the Life Domain from Cleric for those good Jedi heals to cap off the theme.

My favorite weapon for this is either sun blade or Rod of Lordly Might. I mean, the rod has buttons, one of which sprouts a flametongue, very lightsaber-esque.

I'd like to point out that not only does this fit the theme, the class combo is crazy good in practice as well.
