Hi, I live in Alberta, and I suspect you'd find some disagreement. :)

As always, it's a question of degree, but there are angry people everywhere. Some of them are angry for reasons I agree with. Some of them are angry for reasons I disagree with. Some of them do things in their anger that I wouldn't do, regardless of whether I agree or disagree with their positions.

More than just "in a sense". He founded the Moral Majority, and was the driving force for conservative Christians to get involved in politics (something that, for several decades, they had largely avoided). Before Falwell, the Southern U.S. was traditionally a Democratic stronghold; these days, most of those are very solidly "red states." He was a kingmaker, and clearly relished that role.

Was trying to play down politics as much as I could. :p
 

I started to post in this thread but halfway through I realized that I had such strong things to say that they would probably violate the thread rules. Instead I am just going to say: "May he rest in peace"
