the open doesn't mean everyone can say "our official" ,and i just sand a pronouncement ,you also can go on,but it's just your "individual behavior" and your "personal system" and your "personal site"

and if you want to use the pictures ,i think you must get the drawer's sanction first.

that's all , thank you

The translation into English is poor, but as the author's concern is in creating a Chinese language rpg, this is an understandably low priority.

I might suggest, however, that English readers will expect place names to be capitalized.

Also, the "sharkman" may perhaps be better translated as "Merfolk".

Because my English is poor....Merfolk, a nice name.

is it ture?"JIU ZHOU is the first Chinese Fantasy P&P RPG "?really?

JIU ZHOU (NOVOLAND) is a fantasy world with Chinese characteristics,it just like the world in 《the lord of rings》,but it has chinese characteristics. some chinese writers made this world in 2001.

alright?

and of cause the pictures has the drawer's name, but how many people here know the chinese words(the seal character)?, have you say that you just borrow it?or you have said it's not yours?

don't say some sentences or do somethings that can make some misunderstandings

or you really want everyone mistake it?

i hope the answer is not :D

For a second I thought "Independent RPG makers can afford that kind of art in China? Who do I need to talk to to commission work over there?"

yeah outsource artwork..great idea, there aren't tens of thousands of U.S. artists barley making a penny off of art.

im a little lost in this , but...

seems a very good fantasy work.

when working with material that not belong to you, always put credit to the owner (im not saying that you didnt, though).

im reading the wushu part, but is a liitle confusing to me :)

oh, also, i think you dont have to translate the chinese weapons. keep the chinese name, but you can "translate" in the explanation, like

"jian (sword)"
"dao -saber"
"kwandao (halberd)"
" pudao/zhang ma dao (horse cutting: have a broad blade like the kwan dao, but a shorter handle, about one meter long)"

just an idea ;)

good luck with your work, any help i can give, please ask me

First of all I need to apologize for posting replies after such an old thread in this board, but I have to do it 'cuz there're several deeds require clarifying.

1. The original poster of this thread, named Planesinger had quoted lots of unauthorized pictures which are copyright retained by other team, also those fine arts are created by Zhangwang the excellent artist, those graphic works are based on the fantastic literary background named Jiu Zhou(also Novoland) in China, it's true however. But, the most important point is, the P&P Game of Jiu Zhou is an indie game which is unadmitted any formal relationships with the Jiu Zhou literatus.

2. Still feeling sorry, but Planesinger is truly having terrible reputation in Chinese RPG society, there's a simple way below may prove it (I hope that you may read Chinese, however:)
by seeking on Google.com, keywords as "3dh trpg"
Well, you guys may find out such a lot of pages including brawles originated by this guy (in China-net he also uses aliases as "ICESTONE", "冰雪岩石", "3DH 人渣", etc.).

3. The text from his description,
JIU ZHOU is the first Chinese Fantasy P&P RPG.
but the truly truth is, as my knowledge, the first Chinese Fatasy P&P RPG is MESHAL (once named TCIPSW before 2006), which was being developed since earlier than year 2001, and being released in year 2004(maybe earlier), produced by Necroz Studio (once named Meshal Studio before 2006), the leader of designers' aliases are "Pucs", "william_pucs".
By Google searching of the keywords "meshal trpg", "necroz", "tcipsw" that truth may shows up.
The studio I've mentioned about may be visited by links below:
http://www.necroz.com/ or http://www.erovan.com/

Apologize again, but *that* is the truth.
