This is interesting, in that I applied for Delphi's communication department a couple years ago and I got the position. I then filled out the paperwork and forgot about a misdemeanor assault charge and probation violation (I was young, stupid and didnt want to go to anger management classes) i was convicted of when i was in college. Long story short, I worked at teh company for a week before they told me that the position wasn o longer avaialble. The guy whom hired me was peeved off as well as I was. We both did some investigation and found out that that was the reason why they didn't hire me.Dark Jezter said:If the interviewer asks if you've ever been convicted of a felony, smile knowingly and say "Nope, never been convicted."
In hindsight I'm glad i didn't get the position because the company is pretty much tanked, but I do regret not putting the truth on teh application. In other words, I'd tell the truth now and try to explain it away (for me dumb college party and some guy said some things to my girlfriend that you just don't say to a lady) rather than have them read it somewhere and see your mugshot.
