Joe’s Book of Enchantment Refuses Facelift
“All we wanted to do was give the book an inherent +6 bonus to Charisma,” said an animated Art Director at Throwing Dice Games. “But it refuses: no cover art, no interior art, no mast heads.”
Joe’s Book of Enchantment released this statement: “Throwing Dice Games is asking me to do major surgery in August to take on an extra 10 pages of material, and to update my current material to the new game revision called 3.5. I told them they could add illustrations and cover art then. There’s no reason for me to go under the editor’s knife twice in one year.”
“I’m sympathetic to the book’s side of this,” explained Joe, TDG head honcho and author of the book. “No one wants to be crammed full of photos and cover art without a real content update. It makes them feel they aren’t good enough to stand on their own. Since we haven’t got the content ready, we should let the original look of the book stand for itself in the coming ENnies competition.”
“Of course, the book did put up with a few nips and tucks,” said an anonymous word surgeon. “Some charts were rearranged to bring them closer to the content they go with and I’ve even seen a set of bookmarks being worked into the PDF.”
“The slight update should be available on RPGNow by the end of the week,” Joe stated. “Full details about our future releases are available on the Release Road Map page of our website."
