It was okay. I enjoyed meeting the other panelists and the editor of REHupa. However, the moderator spent more time talking about his personal history with Conan than letting people actually ask us questions. The few questions we had were pretty good. It was better attended than I thought it would be, which was nice.

Awesome, glad it went well. Conan seemed to have quite a bit of advertising in the various literature around the con.

And that was quite the tragedy. I felt your pain!

Yeah, good thing I didn't drop it on yer foot or something. I hate valet service. Just bring me a darn cart and leave me alone, I'll get it. =)

I wish I had seen that! Would you mind bringing it to the next game so I may peruse it?

Sure. It is pretty interesting, focusing on the anime take on Western monsters like the vampire and werewolf and how the Japanese have breathed new life into these old concepts.

I still love BESM/Tri-stat. I wouldn't want to pick up all their anime-series-specific books, but these general interest ones are pretty neat.

I have:
BESM Dungeon
BESM Bestiary
BESM Space Fantasy (space opera like Star Wars)
BESM Big Ears, Small Mouse (kiddie cartoons)
BESM Cute and Fuzzy Seizure Monsters (Pokemon and other monster-dueling shows)
Ex Machina (Tri-Stat Cyberpunk)
Dreaming Cities (Tri-Stat modern fantasy)
Silver Age Sentinels (Tri-Stat superheroes, of course. We've got several copies of this floating around the group now, since I know Chris bought one and I gave Vince the "dark printing" version.)

There is a book on the romantic, girl-centric anime out there too that I would like to get and I THINK that is all of the non-series-specific BESM 2nd edition books out there.
