I'm another one who's been following your job hunting exploits RangerWickett so it's good to hear. I also had a long patch of joblessness, though I was unfocused and using the free time to write and be a bum. It isn't as easy as people think to "be a full time writer" that is the conclusion I reached.

It was a bit of a sad day because one of my friends leaves for good in . . . oh, four hours. He's heading off to Wisconsin to be a doctor, and tonight was his going away party. He's Scipio on these boards, and though I've complained about him a bit for being a mean DM, I'll miss him like hell.
We wished each other luck, me for his life in the homeland of geekiness, and him to me that I might learn better the boundaries of personal space. I hugged him good-bye. *grin*
It took a year, but I do have a job I really look forward to. It might take others more than a year, but man, the payoff at the end is worth it. I mean, c'mon, I'm going to be able to afford game books!

Congratulations - glad that you've got a job you wanted to do. I remember many years back how hard it was to get started back in the world of employment after finishing college.
