I would guess that the details of her life could be well known here but my friend just shared a post on Fb about Judy-Lyn del Rey, the eponymous publisher, and I do not think I had been aware at all of her story, despite having read more than a few del Rey books when I was young. It was enough actually to make me wonder how the fantasy landscape might have been different over the years had she not died so soon after I was born, at just 43.
