July '08: Now Playing?

I really don't have a lot of time to be playing video games lately but I've been enjoying The Sims 2. My gf got it for me as a July 4 gift and I played it a little last night and some this morning.

I've heard rumors of a Sims 3 though, does anyone know if there's any truth to it?

It's not just a rumor. Last month's PC Gamer had a 2-page article on Sims 3, including screenshots.
