Let's see. . . a long long time ago, in a galaxy far away (known as Dearborn, Michigan), a friend of mine in theater class said, "Have you ever heard of D&D?" Of course, I hadn't, and she convinced me to join in on a game - she was the DM and one of her players was going to be missing a game. The absent player said I could play her char while she was gone, so that I wouldn't even have to invest in creating a character if it turned out I didn't like the game. And now, here we are. . . umm... lemme see. . .that would have been '88? Round about. Off in college, I discovered IRC and accidently created my own free form RP channel (#dragonsinn - I didn't even mean for it to be a place where people acted in character, but, I guess the name just invited it, so, I went along with it). I found ISRP on Wizards long ago. It went away for a while, so, I hung on another chat and united some folks there to get together and bug the operators to create a couple permanent free form rp rooms. Then, I discovered ISRP was back up on Wizards. And, so, I went back there. I don't even remember who my first character was. I've had some fun ones. And I have spent way too many hours of my life typing away, pretending to be other people. The characters in my brain would overtake the world if I didn't let them out somewhere. Oh, and just as a side not - my hubby has been gaming even longer than I have. He doesn't ISRP anymore, 'cause his fav chars can't come to the tavern, but, he was never as into it as me, anyway. But, he started gaming when he was about 4 years old, in 1979. And, no, it wasn't a simple made for the kid campaign, either. It was a regular campaign, where the other players were adults. D&D is like a second language to him (sometimes, some may wonder if it's not his native language), so, my friends and I have a walking, talking D&D encycolopedia. Quite fun.
