[Just Curious] Darksun greatest villian

Rajaat- a gifted but horribly disfigured pyreen. The pyreen were the "purest and most perfect" of the races. He was so imbittered by his appearance that he went to study how this could have happened to him. Along the way he discovered the Pristine Tower and the Dark Lens within. He learned of the original 1/2lings and decided to recreate their world by destroying the current one.

Tithian as a storm...I believe you're right, he is trapped in the Dark Lens and can only focus his anger as a storm of tremendous destructive power. It's been 2-3 years since reading the novels.

Yes, I'm looking to use the 3e conversion on that site. As far as the game, it will be played in the "In Character" section. Basically it will run like a play by e-mail.
I will present a situation to players, they have a few days to discuss their actions / thoughts on the board then I'll roll up the results and put it into narrative form.

Mostly correct. He spent his centuries trying to reconcile with his hideous appearance, but all he did was internalize his self-hatred to the point where it drove him mad. He eventually turned that hatred outward and declared that, like his disfigured self, all of the Rebirth races were mistakes that should be wiped clean, and he would do so, returning Athas to the Blue Age and giving it back to the halflings.

Yes...it did say that the Cerulean Storm was manifested by Tithian's rage and frustration though, didn't it? I'm pretty sure there must be more to it than that though. It's been several years for me since reading the novels as well.

I just like the fact that despite his intention- he is helping to cure Athas vs destroy it.....

....course I just had a thought.

What if this was a suggestion planted by Rajaat to Tithian. When the 1/2lings ruled, it was larely a water world made up of islands. hmmmm.....

Interesting idea. More likely though its just because Rajaat as so strongly aligned himself with the element of water. The Cerulean Storm isn't a benefactor, despite its rain. It is most assuredly a destroyer.

That brings up one of the things I dislike about they do the elemental worshipping. Rain is evil????? Comon!

In too great of quanities sure, but that can be said for any element.

When I was trying to figure out Rajaat's level (75+) I had him as a 30+ level cleric of rain or water. I'm also leaning towards his essence and Athas' are somehow aligned together. Something I never got a chance to flesh out.

What are you talking about? Rain isn't evil. It's the only paraelement that isn't, and that wants to revitalize Athas. It says so in Earth, Air, Fire, and Water.

I dunno. I can't see him worshipping anything, but I would definately say Water. And I doubt he's tied to Athas itself. The Dark Lens might be, but not him. He's just virtually impossible to kill.

Where exactly does it say that? I'm looking at the "cleric" listing under "classes" and it doesn't mention that any element is definatively evil. Rain just has some very severe-sounding domains (Cold Malice, Dance of Decay, and Fury of Storms).
