Just me, or are 4th ed Deluxe books...tacky? :/

Having art that looks like medieval woodcuts has been always been a staple of Ars Magica source books. It didn't make them any more expensive than other rpg books. It's just a matter of hiring the right artists.

Edit: Actually, one of the few things I dislike about the 4E books is the new art direction. It's too comic-like for my taste and has already been pointed out to me as being completely unappealing by one of my 3E players. It's what kept her from buying the 4E PHB!

Yeah, that 20th Anniversary Edition CoC book is pretty nice.
That's my favourite edition too. I use it all the time. If they ever did an update of that deluxe edition it would be nice to see the use of modified/select Malleus Monstrorum illustrations in there too.

What pray tell, is the disk in the back of your book? My copy is the Red Elder Sign version and it has no signatures or CD. [/jealousy]
