Fix what?

The errors. I'm a game editor at Amazon. My department is computer games, but I know the guys on the Books side.

Turns out that the "Monte Cook" error is WotC's fault: publishers are responsible for sending title and author information (along with ISBN, MSRP, pub date and whatnot). Doh!

The ship date thing sounds like an error with the expected ship-date software. I confirmed that Amazon's systems have a pub date of July 18. I'd email orders@amazon.com and get a real-person confirmation. :)

I've also asked the books guys to remove the review--they posted the review to D&D 3E! ;)

[braging about a good deal]
Heh, I pre-ordered mine from wal-mart and they rang in at 17.95 a piece. Sometimes shopping around pays off.

I just checked and there it states that the order should be shipped between 7-7 and 7-11. Hmm, I hope there right I really getting ansy to see the new books.

I wouldn't count on them arriving before the 7/18 street date. BTW, what kind of shipping do they offer? I've never ordered from them so I have no idea how quickly they get things out the door. Amazon has always gotten things to me very quickly, even with the slower shipping options. I am curious because it's not too late to cancel my order...

Actually, the reason I bought from amazon this time is because I had a coupon or I would have probably bought locally at my FLGS where I get 20% off everything.

Howcome nobody is rippin' on this guy for not ordering from his FLGS, yet anybody who wants to save a buck over at walmart.com is some form of evil capitalism that will ruin the game forever?

...just wonderin'

Wrong thread, man. We have that in all the others. :)

I've wondered that myself! I mean, everybody knows that if you order from a discount retailer like Wal-Mart or Amazon, it will cause the collapse of the RPG industry and civilization as we know it. If this trend continues, the morlocks will rise up from their underground homes and destroy us all.

:D
