Nightfall, while I haven't noticed the numbers in your posts, I have to ask why you write them within the posts themselves rather than, say, upon a scrap of paper or a text file on your desktop.

Perhaps on your desktop you could have a text file with ten little "[POST]" symbols which you delete after submitting a post, refreshed every morning.

If the numbers in your posts warrant a whole thread to clear up the confusion, why not use an alternative method that avoids the confusion altogether?

Just a thought! Again, I personally haven't even noticed these things, and I doubt many people are bothered by it.

Cause I'm lazy for one and secondly I don't keep paper around my computer. Anything of importance I rarely write down or use text/word processing for.

Cause this works for me and while it's annoying to some, which I apologize for, it's how I best operate. I mean am I going to ask you to change how you do your taxes or something that helps you to remember something just so you don't get into trouble?

Yeah, while postcount might not mean anything to you or me, mods apparently spend time worrying about it.

I don't think it is post count that the mods were really worried about. Nightfall has posted some great stuff on these boards, but especially more recently I noticed many short posts in threads that just made some snarky response or seemed to do little more than throwing rocks at a bees nest. I would guess the idea was that by limiting his posts per day, he would still be able to post useful things like his Scarred Lands questions thread, but would be more likely to think twice about posting other things.

Eh I dunno about snarky, but I admit to probably being a tad inappropriately sarcastic to some. The bees nest comment...I'm not recalling any time that I might have done that but I wouldn't put it past me. I admit that I do wrong on occasion. However Thornir I'd prefer to discuss the matter a tad more privately than this. Just so you can understand the deal, as I state previously.

I will say my comments aside, the posting limit is fine with me since I still can post here. Which is all I really want in the end.

In any case, if I did upset you some how Thornir, I do apologize. It wasn't intentional regardless of what I posted.

Thread closed at Nightfall's request - it has served it's purpose in answering anyones questions about the numbers, and I don't want anyone to start probing Nightfall about things he's not wanted to talk about.
