Just wanted to say Thank You to all of you ENWorlders.

I just recently made a decision that will effect my gaming for a long time to come, and to say it on these boards will seem like a great sin but its something I had to do.

I am dropping d20 from my list of games to play.

I have many reasons for this, and if somebody wishes me to list them then I will, but the only thing that would end up causing is a flame war due to my recent dislike of D&D and d20 in general.

I really want to thank all of you for being supporters of the game and I don't want to take anything away from anything that has been created, because even if its really bad it still shows support to the gaming community as a whole, and without the bad stuff, we wouldn't have a basis of comparison for the good stuff. I want to thank you all for being a great bunch of people, always willing to give advice and things like that. Plus, just because I won't play the game doesn't mean I won't be a lurker because I always like to read about and hear about any news that happens in the rpg markets and gaming community.

But, as far as supporting d20, I will not say to much except I dislike it now and at least I can say I played it since it came out so I won't be some of those anti-d20 people who have never tried it and is never willing to. Plus, I may buy Arcana Unearthed when it comes out, but only if I can find another person to DM it.

Thanks to you all, its been a great time, and I am not going away permanently. I am just saving myself some money for a change and I am going to throw my support to a different game system.

That's all well and good... There are many great games out there to play, and d20 is only one of them.

That said - why the post..? Why did you feel like you had to tell everyone? Can't you still come here? Most of the posts in this forum revolve around gaming in general (thus the title), and thus still might be applicable to you.

I'm sorry, but in reading it, I can't help but think you're actually looking for someone to ask you your reasons (and thus argue about it) or you're being dramatic about it for some reason.

Another important point:

Any other game systems you find more engaging, be sure and post a little of your experiences with it here! This IS "General RPG Discussion" after all, and I'm always game to be exposed to new systems I've never heard of before.

Heck, before I started coming here, I'd never heard of Feng Shui, Big Eyes Small Mouth, or Fuzion!
