The origin of "pirates vs ninjas" is a mistake. Originally, the real debate was about "aliens vs. ninjas". (There is a thread about it on this very forum, but I don't have the search function to locate it.)

surely its aliens vs predators
ninjas riding dinosaurs vs pirates on burning sharks
bears vs the pope (are bears catholic, does the pope....etc)

Over the few last years I've seen several movies where ninjas were on a docked ship as if they ran it. maybe it started there?

Either that or the Ninjas need a better PR rep. I mean- is pirates the best you could do?
Do we have talk like a Ninja day? No me hearties!

That's because ninjas don't waste their breath with words. They mess you up silently. From the shadows. With great precision, yet they don't give a crap.

Pirates vs Ninjas?

Come on! Remove the clothes: a ninja is but a man, a pirate is still a pirate with his hook and wooden leg. This should be obvious... **rolleyes**
