Kaiju: Yes or No?

The godzilla from the cartoon programme! The recent one, where the main character finds the eggs of the first, falls in goo, and one of them escapes. The new godzilla thinks he is his pal.:D

Will you do stats for ultraman?

Oh, and I would like if it you did Gigan in a timely manner. He's always been my favorite. Look at him, he's got such style. He's nto a heavy hitter, really, but he makes up for it in personality.

Well, fnork...
It's a month later, and I've finally done Gigan. Hedora, Angilas and some other old-school kaiju should be up relativly soon, time willing. Check it out in the Homebrews forum.

Demiurge out.

A f***ing big critter that tends to destroy anything and everything in it's path. Godzilla/Gojira is the best-know example of a kaiju. The Japanese seem to be fond of this type of movie.

But as you can see, mr. Urge is a 'big' fan as well.

Oh, okay, is the term strictly used for Godzilla and company, or could it be used in generic speech?

A Tarrasque is a kaiju, for example.

Well...
Technically, "kaiju" just means "monster". So, even a kobold is technically a kaiju. Giant monsters, like Godzilla, Gamera, King Ghidorah or a tarrasque, are "daikaiju". I, however, am using kaiju in the sense of the classic Japanese kaiju films, and the template published in Dragon 290, and am converting monsters from those films using the template as a basis (not a be-all and end-all).

Does that help?
Demiurge out.

PS: I don't think I've ever been called "Mr. Urge" before.

A tarrasque would definetly be classed as a Kaiju, but then again so would a Gigantosaurus, a Great Wyrm Red Dragon, and a Mountain Giant also... :D

I have a rather odd favorite that is probably the easiest Kaiju of all because it doesn't have any real special abilities. The Kamakiras, the giant mantises that were picking on Godzilla's kid. :)
