Kalamar Players handbook Overview!

Hey Berendor:

Ahhhh... I get it. Still I'd rather not post something Kenzer doesn't want me to.... ;)

I can't find the Globe of Invulnerability, so they must not of. What was the gist? Or can you not say...

Hey all! Glad to see the feedback is positive so far! :)

I don't mind giving a small preview of the Iron Touch of Kruk-Ma-Kali feat, so here goes...

(For those of you that aren't familiar with the world of Tellene, Kruk-Ma-Kali was a great hobgoblin king who ruled several hundred years ago, before his assassination. The upcoming Lost Tomb of Kruk-Ma-Kali adventure focuses on his tomb - obviously).

:)

Here's the feat!

Iron Touch of Kruk-Ma-Kali
You have learned how to strengthen weak areas of the body.
Prerequisite: Hobgoblin or sil-karg
Benefit: Reduce the critical multiplier by 1 factor when your character takes damage. Thus, an axe that normally does x3 damage on a critical hit inflicts only x2 damage.
Special: You may only take this feat as a 1st-level character.

Oh, and the place of origin table is actually d10,000, not d1,000.

:D

Finally, the remaining 28 pages is filled with Spell planners for every spell casting class from Assassin to Wizard. We are talking every spell, cast by every class, every level. They are divided up by class. It includes every spells name, type, components, casting time, range, target/effect, duration, saving throw, and where it can be found. These spells, like the feats are pulled from Kalamar, and almost every WOTC classbook, PHB, Magic of Faerun, Lords of Darkness, Return to temple of elemental evil, etc, etc, etc, etc..... Every spell people, with easy quick ref as to what it does, its stats and where to find the details if need be.

ARgh! It. Must. Be. Mine.

When I have the money. :-/

My question: what's the KoK shaman class like? Is it the same as the OA shaman, similar, or completely different?

More generally, just how many shaman classes will we have? :)

OMG!! I'm definately becoming a Sil-Karg if I play! I guess I don't have as much to fear from that Falchion wielding player anymore with my favorite NPC.

I figured that would be a high-level feat though, why limit it to first level?

First level actually limits it to those hobgoblins that have grown up developing their toughness since birth, not some "Ugh, I feel stronger" feat to take as soon as you get a second attack.

Furthermore, the level adjustment would have resolved aorund base attack bonus, probably, and now imagine a spellcaster class or a rogue having this...

Remember that most Hobgoblins will only have 1 feat to take at 1st level, so it's a tough choice.

I haven't seen anything else yet I guess. This works better if every race has some useful first level feats. Then instead of only one or two useful choices you have to pick from 5 or 6 useful choices and can only get one of them ever. I'm looking forward to getting the book.
