Yes, the Player's Guide shipped directly from the printer, so most US distributors will be receiving it this week, and probably some next week. How fast it appears in your local gaming store depends on what distributor they order from.

It's really cool, though. Well worth the wait. :)

As those who check out the KoK Boards know, I'll be purchasing the PG and Campaign Setting in one fell swoop ASAP. Everything I've seen and read leave me no doubt that I'll be more than satisfied with both of these acquisitions :) .

After waffling for about a year I picked up the campaign setting and I'm glad I did. That, R&R, and Necromancy: BTG have been my best 3E purchases so far. Highly recommended.

With the quality Kenzer has continuously shown, I'm betting the PG will be a doozy. I'll be the first in line for it when my store gets it!

oddly enough...

I will get the book, but checked out the web preview. One of the things I really like (and it is a small thing, I know) is that the character sheet does NOT waste ink listing trained-only skills! I approve!

Oh, and I bet the new feats, skills, spells, races, sub-races, magic items, alternate classes and prestige classes will be good too. :)

Say, are those fighting schools really just feat chain progression recommendations? This is something that has come up on this board before: How many PRCs would have been handled much better as a recommendation for taking a certain sequence of feats rather than as a PRC. If this is true then I'm ecstatic that someone finally implemented this. PRCs are so heavily overused and Mongoose's fighting schools look kind of broken (i.e. you kind of get something for nothing) so it's nice to see such a simple alternative like this that doesn't even make any changes to the rules. Am I misinterpreting that section of the preview? I hope not. :)

Unless things have drastically changed from the playtesting copy, you're not misinterpreting this, kenji.

The thing I like is that the skill recommendations cover cross-class skills, even for a fighter.

But the whole book is even better! Wait until you see... darn, can't tell you! But the wait is not long anymore.
