Kansas City - DM Dinner

I think it'd be an interesting idea. My schedule's pretty random, so I'd need to know about it a bit in advance - two weeks would be best.

(Wait, there someone else on here from Topeka? Hi, Kaos!)

Yo! I thought I was the only Topekan on here. :D

17th works for me -- what are we thinking as a restaurant?

So, I'm thinking two choices here - B.D.'s Mongolian Barbecue. It's near 95th and Quivira, across from Oak Park Mall. Basically, it's stir fry - you build your bowl how you want it, and they cook it in front of you.

Second choice is Dick Clark's American Bandstand restaurant off I-435 and Metcalf. It's a little further south, and not quite as exotic. It's more traditional American type entrees, with some great appetizers and some interesting ambience. It might be a bit quieter, and they have some areas we could probably get to ourself.

So, let me know what your preference is. I'll call the restaurant and make reservations. I figure we'd want to shoot for something like 5:30 to avoid the crowd.

If you have other suggestions, I'm open to ideas.

Blerg! I would be in, except that, like Vraille, I'm in Columbia... and like Vraille, I will be in St. Louis on the 17th. But for a completely different reason. At any rate, I'll try to get in on the next one.

Would the 16th (Friday) be more do-able for people?

Fridays are a definite no-go for me, due to my working hours. It just happened that this first DM dinner is on my group's gaming weekend, and I game in St. Louis.

What part of Columbia are you in?

(I'm in Boonville Myself, but come to Columbia to game).
