Ok needs. I'm adapting Katkolohk as a Goblin fort in the Stonelands. 5 PCs.

That's a lot of goblind. Im trying to limit encounters to X2 the PCs as per DMG recommendations. Last session (lvl 3) i used a goblin hexer, 2 ogre and 4 goblin warriors snd it was a bit rough.

The absolute part is a scam by Shar so the Shadowsil "boss" can be a dhar cultist or something similar.

Im looking at bugbears, ogre, hobgoblins and NPCs things like warriors, cultists, priests, performers. The first mage will probably turn up at 5th.

I'm thinking mostly low encounters. Boss fight can be high. Shadowsil will have an undetermined rare item hopefully tied to Netheril.

1-2 uncommons and up to 3 commons can also be added. So far they have a +1 shield, weapons and potions as items along with a clockwork amulet and goggles of night (completely useless). NPCs can use said items. This will bring their haul up to roughly DMG guidelines for tier 1.

Shadowsil. Shadovar (refluffed shadar kai) Shar follower.

Notorious named NPC they've been looking for since lvl 1 (veteran warrior).

Side quests. Captured NPC or two they've previously interacted with.

Any idea's. A high fight can have NPCs aid them. They can be up to CR 2 with DM special being some sort of spellfire wielder.

Thoughts on a small dead magic zone. A single area.
