Bards and Sages would not exist without the support of the online gaming community. Thousands of gamers have taken a chance on our products over the years, many of them finding us for the first time at RPGNOW.com. So when I learned of the whole WoTC PDF debacle this morning, I was saddened both as a gamer and a publisher. As a gamer, I don't like being treated like a criminal by a company I spend my hard earned money on. As a publisher, I find it unfathomable that a business so dependent on the good will of its customers would behave in this manner.
So this morning we placed our entire line of Karma Roleplaying System products at RPGNOW.com on sale at 10% off. Karma allows players and storytellers to create the world they want to play in. Design your own races. Create your own spells. Craft your own magic items. All with an easy to use point system. Allot more points to run a more high-powered game, or scale back for low-magic/no-magic settings. Veteran players will appreciate the elegant game mechanic that allows for maximum customization. New gamers will appreciate a simple system that requires only one 20-sided die to play.
Our PDF customers are a valued part of our business, and we try to keep their needs in mind when designing our products. And so we just wanted to take this opportunity to show our PDF customers that we appreciate their business, and to let them know that we don't plan on abandoning our customers over some lame torrent site or other ridiculous reason.
I encourage other publishers to feel free to hijack this thread to shamelessly plug their own sales at RPGNOW as well. I'm going to put a list together of publishers offering PDF sales to post to my blog, so by all means feel free to note your own promotions here so that I can include them!
