Keep on the Borderlands in the Scarred Lands??

Well. Its on the edge of estabolished civilization and acts as an outpost for further ventures into the untamed wilds.

Why not put it on the continent of Termana? Perhaps it was built by settlers from Virduk's Promise, who are still in the act of trying to branch out into the "uncivilized" areas? Sure, there are a lot of nations--particularly the forsaken elves and the charduni--and Termana, but there's a lot of wilderness as well.

You'd have to do a bit of tweaking, maybe alter the forests to jungles, but I think that'd be pretty cool. And you can swap out a lot of the basic critters in the module with all sorts of funkiness.

And besides, I hear the Termana hardcover is being developed by a fairly cool guy...

(Seriously, you should be able to make do, in this case, with just the Gazetteer, since KotB is a relatively small-scale module in terms of actual terrain covered.)
