Kenku as a "real" playable race

For those who haven't seen it, it's here (paywall applies): Dungeons & Dragons Roleplaying Game Official Home Page - Article (Winning Races: Kenku)

For one, I love the notion of the kenku as a playable race. I imagine them hanging out at docks, eyeing a mark, and was inspired to make a charisma focused rogue when I read the article. They could also be a decent assassin, but the CA bonus plays very nicely towards sneak attack bonuses. A shame that much of the support the article offers is in terms of utility swaps - they're not terrible (well, a couple are pretty bad), but seeing more feats would have been more interesting.

I wish I had had this article a couple of years ago when I was playing a paragon-level kenku rogue. I like a lot of the racial powers (disappearing into a cloud of feathers is awesome!).

I'll admit, I never thought I'd see "kenku" and "winning" used in the same sentence before. :p I'm delighted to see that they got some attention, though, because I've always wanted to play a kenku just for the absurdity of it.

Great article. I have a weak spot for Kenkus ever since one of my players' pc was reincarnated as one.

I wouldn't mind seeing more articles about some of the 'neglected' playable races.
