Kensai ans Signature Weapon

I am making a Kensai and can't find a definate answer to this. Can I imbue my Signature Weapon at 1st level with a +1 ability then say at 3rd level be able to drop that ability and add a +3 ability. Is this abreaking my oath of service? Is it even possable to do this? I was just wondering so I can properly plan out the character.

I would say it's not possible to do that, since I don't see any indication in the class description that one can change an already imbued ability.
